Giga Omni Media
As the Special Projects Editor for the GigaOM Network, I oversaw editorial content and strategy for GigaOM Pro, a market research service focused on emerging technologies. I worked with journalists and analysts to craft insightful, engaging articles and reports on technology markets and issues, taking many content items all the way from topic development to proofreading.
I also assisted with other editorial products associated with events, content relationships and more, including day-to-day editing of news, features, and live-blogging, with content also appearing on BusinessWeek.com, NYTimes.com, and Salon.com.
Sustainable Industries
As the Managing Editor at Sustainable Industries, I edited monthly issues from back to front — everything from story idea generation to fine-tuning editorials, news stories, features, and book reviews. During my tenure, Sustainable Industries was awarded a FOLIO Gold Eddy Award for business feature excellence (2007) and nominated for two Utne Independent Press Awards (2005, 2007). I also launched research-driven publications and wrote numerous articles.
Ecotrust
I provided editorial guidance for “The New Mainstream” (PDF), the final report synthesizing recommendations for the Vivid Picture Project, which examined strategies for creating a sustainable food system for California. I also provided additional background research.
